I've definitely been in a slump as of late so I thought I'd revise one of my best pieces (IMO) to try and build a little confidence. Tell me if you like it. The orginal is in my sig if you wanna compare. Crit 4 Crit.

It's 4 am and the world is at peace
The soft breathing of sleeping lovers fills the air
Lovers who probably just finished whispering sweet nothings in each others' ears
The leaves tumble down the street as the wind guides them
And the early morning lull leaves the roads open to nature
Children stir in their sleep as nightmares play on their deepest fears
But they'll wake and play with innocence that only childhood naivety could bring
And It's 4 am and the world is at peace

It's 4 am and the world is at peace
And so the lucky ones sleep, only waking moments make them anxious
And only wretches like me are left to battle their woes
While the sun and the moon wrestle for the sky's soft caress
The streetlights shine down on spaces which only those who won't stand in them can see
It's the calm before the storm of human pollution, that destroys the art that is this place
Yellows, reds, blues, and greens scattered all over this canvas
And It's 4 am and the world is at peace

But now it's 5 am and it's time to rest.
