I am really getting into rush and would really like to get the same tone as alex lifeson, what can i do to make my amp sound as close as possible, I am running a Vox AC30cc, a gibson les paul, with like a ibanez tubescreamer overdrive, so does anyone know his amp setting or somthing?

You've got all the right gear just need some chorus.

well. you actually can get pretty close with that.

he uses a Les Paul, so thats good. he has a Hughes and Kettner TriAmp Lifeson Sig Model. which he keeps on channel 2. which i believe to be the more 'british flavored' tone. so Vox is good.

settings:

although its not right or anything, i use -
Gain 3-4
Treble 7
Mid 4
Bass 5-6

you may have to tweak that to fit your amp and guitar.
