Hey chaps

Just a query... I purchased a jack plug thing today that slips into the back of the computer in a hope that i will be able to record onto the machine; does it work? and what software do you recommend?

Thanks a lot

i use wavelab an that works really well for me. but alot of people use cubase and the cakewalk sonar series. i would also suggest getting a mixer if you havn't got one.

I have the latest of Acid Pro and Sonic Foundry. I also use a mixer. After a bit of editing I can get my stuff to sound really good.

I have a Yamaha mixer and It's easy to use. if could save up enough i might get a Behringer XENYX 2442FX . If you don't mind me asking what are you planning on recording is it just guitar/ vocals or are you going to record drums and other?
