If she likes standards, there's quite a few that are really beautiful on bass esp. on the upper frets. Alice in Wonderland (key of C) sounds esp nice and you can throw in an occasional harmonic as well.

Sorry to hear about your g-ma.

thanks guys i'm gonna get to work on some "alice in wonderland" that sounds appropriate.

the reason i put LOL in the title is because maybe assholes will make fun of me for playing for my grandma.

Why must you breathe the same air as me?

Jokes about someone's dying grandmother aren't cool. You're not funny for making them, you're not cool, you're just a complete and utter fuckass.

TS, +1 if you need sheet music or whatnot.

i dont think people will make fun f you because your grandma is terminal.

However, they will make fun of you for trying to make a joke out of her.

One of the Hal Leonard books has the tab and the score. I'm on a break at work right now, so I don't have the exact title. But finding tabs for Jaco's stuff can be hard--he believed in reading music, both treble and bass clef.

I'm guessing that will be too hard, but very good choice.

PoT is a good choice but i am guessing maybe too hard too?

how about stu hamms Love Thang? There are decent tabs on the stu hamm site (just google stu hamm), it's slow, gorgeous to play and listen to.

sorry about your nan

That's pretty ****ed up man.

Any way man sorry to hear about your grandma. Another vote for amazing grace or PoT(if you can play it) Also Weather Report- "A Remark You Made" has a kind of mellow but pretty bassline to it, and it's going to be a lot easier to learn than PoT.

Something pretty like Moonlight Sonata perhaps?

That would have been my suggestion as well. It requires two-hand tapping, but if done properly can sound very nice.
#38
^i can play it somewhat, i wouldnt call it an easy song, it requires tapping with your right hand pinky with a 4 fret stretch, which i can barely do.
