Anyone going??

Open Air lineup: Blind Guardian, Korpiklaandi, Rise to Addiction

Indoor lineup: Mob Rules, Blood of the Enemy, Blitzkrieg, Sinner, Powerquest.

So yeah...... discuss.....

If this thread is a crippling failure I will put it in the metal thread.... y'know, where we don't have MCR headlining our metal festivals......

None of those bands really interest me, Korpiklaani would be ok for a drunken laugh I guess.

I can never afford these things anyways.

Bloodstock's always been better than download. All the good stuff without all the rubbish mainstream stuff in between

I think for download they're gonna have to get some good bands to play non-main stages while mcr are on otherwise it will be the whole ****ing festival throwing bottles of piss at them. I hope bloodstock get more good bands announced... it seems it is still quite unheard of...
#16
Ah theres still not that much there that interests me. Only really Finntroll, Nevermore, Life denied, and In Flames.

And korpiklaani if I was that drunk.
#18
It's so cheap I think it's worth it. I gotta convince someone to go with me now... Last time I took my boyfriend to a thrash metal gig he complained about other people's sweat in his hair and left early in a sulk. I don't think he'd be happy with a whole weekend of it...
#19
SHIT. I'm in bloody France when that's on

Some good bands there, and I'm missing Hellfest too which is a right pain in the ass.

Thats thrash for you though, sweaty old men.

Yeah its very cheap, but theres not enough there that interests me. I've seen a fair few punk festivals coming up that are about the same price with more stuff I like.

GODDAMNIT! Why is all metal centralized in the UK and in Europe. Us Americans rarely get to see the bands we want to see. I've been wanting to see Guardian sooo bad. I might just skip a week of college in November, fly to England and see Sabbath there and Guardian in Germany.

Korpiklaani
Nevermore
Lacuna Coil
Dark Tranquility
Arch Enemy
Finntroll
In Flames

Beats Download any day, I think. This sucks. So cheap too! It's like the third of what it would have cost me to go to Hellfest. Again:

Firewind are there, with Testament, Wolf and In flames. Thats good enough for me
Pitty I dont have much money though

Quote by Mistress_Ibanez
im surprised it's still so small compared to download though... hardly anyone goes...

That's because festivals like Download and Leeds are over-commercialised (hence the more expensive price, in comparison) and usually full off faggots.
But yeah, like you keep saying, at least MCR aren't headlining.
P.S - Did anyone else see that video of them getting bottled on stage?

I'm going.

I hear you have to find a campsite elsewhere and travel to the venue. Which is a bit of a pain in the ass, i'll be honest.

But yeah, it's a pretty good line-up, for me it's worth it just to see Nevermore, since I missed them when they came up with Disturbed.

Testament will own too, as will Sabbat, Korpiklaani, Dark Tranquillity etc.

If your going to the open air one in catton theres a camp site in my village called rosliston that is 5 minutes away in car/10 minutes walk at most and it costs next to nothing. Noone ever uses it because the village is so obscure and because of that the pigs never come down so u can do what you want. Also there are no chavs which is a bonus Anyone wants the number for it say and il put it on here later cause i dont have it at the moment. There is a campsite right next to the place but its small costs a lot and will be full by now
