Ok... I have the Ultimate Rock DVD put out by Guitar World with Andy Aledort as the guide. On most of his stuff he includes a notation guide, but on this one he didn't.

Can someone tell me what the // on the top line (string 6) means on figure 36 of the Beginner's Rythm Section? (He's actually getting into lead here).

I've been told it's a Cestra, and I've been told it means to repeate the figure, and I've seen on 2 of the 3 parts that it's an open string strum possibly. I'm kinda confused all around as to what this means. Anyone with the book, or any andy experience able to lend a hand here? Thanks in advance for any positive aid here .

BTW: Anyone know of a place that gives a notation guide to andy's tabbing? Please provide a URL (link) if you do .
