Alright at school , in eletronics we get to make a project of our choice , so i'm going to try and install a mini amp into the body of the guitar
now does anyone know where i can find out how to make a guitar amp???(i want to be able to switch from clean to distrotion too)
and could it run off batterys or need a power supply of some sort??

An amp isn't complex or expensive at all. Google for guitar amplifier schematics.

Are you allowed to just take the circut out of a cheap practice amp?

If not, you'll have to look up some schematics.

If you're putting it in a strat you could use the three existing pots to make them volume/gain/tone. Perhaps put a push/pull knob on the volume to turn the amp on and off?
Where would you put the speaker?

Go tehre, those are the cig box amps. They work pretty well too, enough to power a 412 cab as well.

Hell yeah.

Sure, there's plenty of specs online. Just get a decent soldering iron, the right parts (usually some resistors and an op-amp), and an appropriate tin or container.
