So, I was just wondering what are your guys favorite riffs to play. You know the first thing you play every time you pick up a guitar or whenever you're just doodling around.

For guitar it would have to be the main riff for "Black Dog" Led Zeppelin

For Piano it'd have to be the clean piano interlude in "Heart of the Sunrise" by YES
Leader of The Cult of Echoes, for those who believe 23 min. of Pink Floyd Epicness just isn't enough.

No, I don't know. I like Unholy Confessions by Avenged Sevenfold, to be honest. Or Hand of Blood by Bullet for my Valentine.

Intro riff to Voodoo Child, the entirety of Prison Sex, and the verse riff to The Mystical Potato Head Groove Thing. Oh, and that bouncy Cliffs of Dover riff. Though I can't get the damned timing down...

On bass i usually start off playing the main riff to Laid To Rest by Lamb of God. On guitar i usually do Raining Blood first. After that i usually do Scales on guitar and chords on bass.

I'm addicted to playing Nightrain's intro now. For whaever reason, whenevr I tune half step down, the first thing I play is the Nightrain intro. And I like playing A Favor House Atlantic's intro too, + KOHD (GnR' cover).

Metallica - Fade to Black, One, Sanitarium
Pantera - Cemetery Gates

Lately I've been playing Entrance of the Conflagration by Trivium a lot. And the solo from Blindfolds Aside by Protest the Hero. Not really a riff, but fun as hell to play. I find myself playing Boot Scraper by Lamb of God, since that song is pretty much made up of a bunch of different riffs, like most of their songs.
