ok i bought a second hand jackson six string guitar about 6 six months ago but don't know what model it is. i've looked on jackson's site for the serial number but my serial number isn't on there. all i know about the guitar is that its a jackson made in japan with duncan designed pickups. one humbucker in the bridge in a single in the body an neck an it has a licensed floyd rose jackson tremelo. i can put the serial number on here if anyone can help me identify my guitar i'd much appreciate it

whats the shape?

if it looks pretty normal, its either a dinky or a soloist.

Pictures would really help, and yeah it's probably a Dinky or a Soloist.

No, it's really not a bad guitar. There are plenty of nice Dinkys. At the price you got it for it would have to be a REALLY cheap soloist. That's why I came to the conclusion of a Dinky.

Search for Dinky and Soloist on Google Images and show us the one that it looks the most like.

look for a similar one on ebay or google or something to see what model you think it is
#14
it could be the 2005 pro series dinky, so you can't find it on jackson site any more. they had duncan designed pickups. i have one and it's a fine guitar for the money.

i'll google it. i looked on ebay an it seems more like a dinky than a soloist

^^they basically have the same shape, but soloist is neck through while the dinky is bolt on.

If it's neck-thru (the neck is the same piece of wood as the body), then it's a Soloist and is therefore pretty high-end.

If the neck is bolted on, then it's a Dinky. These generally aren't as good as Soloists, but they vary.

In any case, Jackson guitars are pretty good as a rule.

well its a bolt on neck. the reason i bought it was cos i know jackson make decent stuff. i think it must be a dinky of some description then. thanks for all the replies people
