I'm going to say ibanez are the best for metal. The most "metal" guitar brand is probably B.C. Rich, but they're not really the best metal guitars.

jacksons and esps are kinda the same small differances but esps are way more expensive. both great for metal.

ESP. They're of much higher quality than many of the Jacksons, and often a fraction of the price, IMO at least.

I would say that ESP is the most reasonable answer to this thread to which there is no answer.

What a rather pointless thread.

k, seriously, im a fender guy, who plays metal, but fender honostly shouldnt be there. theyre not much of a metal vibe.
#28
I used to play metal and I got a sound I loved out of my schecter, but i'd say from your list ibanez or jackson.

it took you 15 consecutive hours of practice to realize that playing guitar makes you better at playing guitar. congratulations.

High end Jackson and vintage BC Rich are probably the best for thrash and 80's metal, but I'd say Ibanez for today's "metal".
Dickless.
#33
Well, if money were no object, I'd say ESP, just look at the people they make signatures for!

But on a budget, I'd say Ibanez, as they make some pretty decent, reasonably priced guitars (not $4000 guitars with 1 passive EMG )

its all down to preference. i love gibson more than any brand so id say gibson but its not the most metal guitar ever, its down to what you like and what you dont
#35
