I've had a 5150 for a long while and I'm starting to get tired of it

I'm wondering if its worth it to replace it with a jcm900 or to just stick with what I have.

what do you kids think.

Not to insult you. I love my 5150, but I would get sick of it too with the cab you have. Get something with v30s and then decide if you want a new head or not.

Getting tired of it how? Like the tone, or do you just want something else???

Maybe try a fresh tube change, different settings yadayada. Or get a new amp...either way, open up to more than just a JCM900.

Oh I know my cab is terrible. and heavy. and disgusting to gig with.

But I've been playing my 5150 on different cabs and I'm starting to play with more pedals and cleans and I don't know if it is the right head for what style of music I'm into now.

I said a jcm900 because that is what someone recommended for me.

Do you guys have any other recommendations?

For you? JCM i think is the best option. But the 5150 is really good too. I used it at a gig we did where i played Jazz, Some Country, Cliffs of Dover, In your face (by children of bodom) and Iron Maiden's "Rainmaker". Sounded pretty nice for all of those.
