i really do think the ibanez rgs (not the prestige models) are the best in that price range... fork out a bit more (about $300 or so more) and you could get the prestige models... my personal favourite is the RG2570E.... looks killer... great paint job.... versatile pickups... great trem... all there... the rgs are the way to go...

I like to play this game where I'll see how many times I can look at a particular chicks ass or tits until I get caught.

Fat chicks are different. They don't count, they aren't women.

he said that...i agree though, an ibanez rg is your best bet. just ask chris brodrick.

Ibanez RG's are good if you don't mind putting up with a floating tremelo. It's enough to drive a man crazy at times!

Schecter for versatility, Ibanez is great but most only feature dual buckers while shecters have HH plus coil tapping.

HSS Strat. Yes they are common, there is a reason for that.
Ibanez guitars are common, I'm sure the reason for that is the same.

Tell him COMMON is not such a bad thing.

I know I say it a lot, but: Schecter? Mine was $550, and it's amazing.

Well if she really wants versatility and something that isn't common...

Switch Innovo III Midi.

HSS configuration with a Roland synth pickup and a crazy shape with the body and neck being one piece of material . Has locking tuners too!

^I'd let a pro look at it. Once you get into the technicalities of screws...well, it's just a place you don't want to be, friend.

HSS strat, hands down. I dont remember which poll, but some company dubbed it the most versatile guitar line out there today.

I personally am not a fan of the Ibanez clean sounds.
