Atreyu use Drop C.
Bring Me The Horizon use Drop B.
Trivium like said above, I think used to Drop D, yeah.

Drop D or Drop C is a good place to start.

But jeez you're only been playing a month and you're bored? There may be a problem there for which alternative tunings may not be the ultimate solution.

Probably D standard (DGCF) or Drop C, D standard (CGCF). Go to www.tunemybass.com.

Man u got heaps of choice when it comes to metal

ok the above person said drop d which is from low to high D A D G

you could take all the strings dow a half step Eb Ab Db Gb

or a whole step D G C F

down 1 and a half steps Db b B E

or 2 whole steps C F Bb Eb

tuning down to a C can be fairly common in metal, you just gotta watch you strings, mkae sure they don't get to loose and floppy or it'll just sound bad.. Also this isn't as low as you can go, i've heard of some bassits tuning all the way down to Ab.. Umm yeah good luck with these hope they're of some help

C standard is good aslong as you don't use too much distortion, Kyuss use this tuning and they sound pretty damn good.

I would recommend staying in standard tuning... with your bass, you will lose tension in your strings, and they will become floppy and will sound like ass. Since you just started playing bass, tunings should really be the last thing on your mind. Work on your technique.
