I'm thinking about buying a G&L Legacy and was just wondering if it sounded just like a Fender Stratocaster. I'm going for a SRv, Clapton, bluesy tone

You should be easily able to get all the classic strat sounds and more

they're basically fenders, only better and with uglier headstocks.
