I've got a massive music collection and have album art for pretty much all the songs. I got an iPod a while back and synchronised it with my music collection and when add the songs on to the ipod, the album art refuses to come onto it. Does anybody know how to add it on to itunes? oh and ive enabled the "Show album art option on iTunes".

Yeah, I've had that same problem and it pisses me off. The only way I've found to get it to show up on the ipod is to upload it into itunes from a cd. If you buy stuff on itunes in the future it will probably show up, but I don't think theres much you can do now.
I'm a rockstar without the skills, fame, or income.

I've got a tricky way of working around this...

1) Plug your iPod in. Go into "iPod Options," and set it to "manually update songs and playlists."

2)Now, each song on the iPod should have the art displaying already, in iTunes. I then add a second picture to each song ON THE iPOD. (NOT the songs in the library.)

3)Once each song on the iPod has two album art pictures, I go back into "iPod Options" and select "automatically update songs and playlists." Now, your songs with two pictures on the iPod will be replaced with the songs from your library that contain a single picture each. I dunno if it'll work for you, but it does the trick for me.

The fact is, it's the internet. If there's a better reason for the internet besides porn, arguing and piracy, I haven't found it.
