Hi. has anyone got any pics of a lake placid blue strat? also, what finish would look better with a rosewood neck, a sunburst or a lake placid blue? the colour isnt majorly important but i just wanted to see what UGers thought. thanks in advance.

i think www.soundslive.co.ukhas 60s white strats, they have alot of fenders and im almost certain they have them... erm... do you not have choice to get maple neck or do you want rosewood? if you want rosewood id guess sunburst will be better look but personally i dont like sunburst feels too common just like a black strat

yeah thanks for the help. i thought that sunbursts would be a bit too common too, and i wanted a white on rosewood for some reason.
EDIT: on the website it says you can choose what colour you want, and olympic white is on the list!

its on bout the decal so im guessing the fender logo unless its the original fender logo, it has original headstock as well, it is one sexy guitar, if i was going to get a fender strat i always said it would be olympic white or satin red with black pickguard or the aerodyne lol

im still not sure whether to get a sunburst or white though. my favourite guitarist, John Frusciante, has a white '61 strat and a sunburst '62 strat. i have a sunburst squier, which i like because of the neck and finish.

if you like that colour and finish go with the sunburst personally i prefer the white but its all choice, also you might want it to be different than your squier

^i seem to prefer sunburst and white to blue the lake placid blue does seem to look good on strats though, better than normal blue.
