Right; I am very fond of my acoustic guitar; I kinda suck!

I can do basic chords; A - G etc; Basic Barres, Minors, 5ths etc not a problem!

Pretty bad at picking; Can do Good Riddance by Green Day though!

I am looking for some 'Popular' Songs to learn as I am having a block here!

I want to learn some songs which arent too hard and are popular in England as im not into heavy metal, punk etc.

Influences are: Green Day, Click Five, Busted, McFLY, Hanson, Panic! At The Disco, Take That.

Many thanks!

(Acoustic or Electric songs I dont mind; Just prefer acoustic!)

You sir, are an elitist asshole.
Just because you dislike a band such as Green Day, does not mean that the rest of the world must follow suit. I adore the abundance of untalented, unexperienced teens on this board that like to rip apart bands that they can only dream of one day achieving the heights of..

To stay on topic, some "popular" songs would be..

Boulevard of Broken Dreams - Green Day
Wonderwall - Oasis
Iris - Goo Goo Dolls
Slide - Goo Goo Dolls
Vindicated - Dashboard Confessional
Swing Life Away - Rise Against
Yellow - Coldplay
Mr. Brightside - The Killers (there's an acoustic version on this site that sounds f***ing glorious)
4am - Our Lady Peace
Collide - Howie Day
..and that's all i can think of at the moment

He meant to say Stairway to Heaven by Led Zeppelin
