Right, i've found the right people to form a band and we've decided we want to be a punk band with maybe some lighter skankier stuff thrown in for good measure.

So, i was hoping UG could help me pick out some good popular and easy cover to play to kick start the show.

We were thinking along the lines of distillers, sublime, rancid and transplants stuff.

Thanks.

Time Bomb by Rancid, if you do it right, it'll come of reallllly cool. You might need an organ player though, or a guitar player with a source for effects.

Some Anti-Flag maybe?

How about that song that goes "Went down to the cemetery looking for love. Got there and my baby was buried I had to dig her up"

get into some real, seedy, raw punk. Black Flag is the place to start if you want some ugly kickass punk.

Hmm. I'm not sure. I've heard it on the radio a couple times and liked it, but whenever I hear it, they don't say the name and artist after the song.

just play some annoying chords over and over and over and over and over again and same with the vocals... That might work.
