hello there.

I would like to know what nice electric guitar or maybe electro-acustic guitar i can find for 300$ max/top. I live in venezuela and guitars here are expensive almost as twice as USA. But in march im going to Newyork for a week and i will pass to all those famous music stores. Right now i been playin acoustic nicely for around a year. I woulddlike electric mainly for lead and soloing.

So any recomendadtions?
thanks

My first guitar was a Les Paul Special II .. They come in a few colors and now with a new SG look.. but obviously Epiphones don' have whammy bar inputs. This guitar is about $250 without tax i believe. Here is a link to it.

Well... you could order an Agile online.

My first electric was an AL-2500 in Heritage Cherry, but it seems they've discontinued it.

I'm not sure how this would work though. Maybe you could get it mailed to an address in New York or something.

Otherwise, a starter set might be your best bet. I've heard good things about the Ibanez starter set, although I'm biased towards the Les Paul, so I would personally go for the Special II linked in the previous post.

Will you have more money to spend on an amp and everything, or is $300 the complete budget?
