I thought i'd throw this one out there to see if there's enough interest to warrant going ahead with it.

As you all know (or should know) there is a Promote Your Band forum and the posting of your own band in any other forum tends to be frowned upon. However, it's still a pretty tight knit community in here and most of you guys in bands won't get a listen or any advice in the PYB forum.

So would you appreciate/use a thread solely dedicated to posting your bands MySpace or dMusic links? I think it'd get all of you a better response in terms of feedback on your bands and also open people up.

There will be certain rules applied to the thread e.g. no linking unless you actually have songs on the page, no linking to stupid amounts of pages just to show off your supposed knowledge. I may allow linking to, say, a friends band page but we will have to see how that works out as it may just get cluttered.

So thoughts? Suggestions? Want it? Don't want it?

As it only concerns the Hardcore forum, I don't think so.

I would use it. The PYB forum is over cluttered and you don't get many responses because your post get's buried. I'd like one in this forum.

Good call, Dai. I think a thread like that would be far more productive in here too.

Its something this forum needs.

They're not talking about hardcore punk, they're talking about "hardcore." It has little in common with its roots in the '80s.
