Pentatonic scale for solos, pinch harmonics for riffs. Oh, and he always does a solo with his teeth when he plays live, so learn to do that too

Pentatonic scales, pinch harmonics, tremolo picking, hybrid picking(pick and fingers). And Zakk said he watches John McLaughlin videos to learn new stuff, so they might be worth checking out.

Zakk also includes a lot of passing tones in his pentatonic licks, so you will need to throw in some passing tones in your pentatonics to get a more accurate sound, but I agree you should not try to master his style, but use it to hone your own.
