I am soon going to buy a $430(USD) guitar from a local shop, and I'm wondering if you guys think I'll be able to get them to throw in a hardshell case. I've never tried to bargain or anything before, so what should I try to do?

no way will they throw it in for free on a guitar that cheap. the best you could do on it is a discount, but not even that much.

Well, if you're cool with them--it shouldn't be hard at all.

But for a $430 guitar, I don't think they'll be willing to throw in a hardshelll case, but it wouldn't hurt to try considering they're an independant store (They'll do anything for you to come back).

I say ask em' if it comes with a hardshell case, if they say no--start to argue over how much it would cost.
