Hey. Just got a Marshall DSL401 and it is my first experience with a tube amp. After playing awhile, it starts to get really hot, like where the EQ controls are and the volume knobs. Is this normal ?

yeah. i was kidna scared when my mesa started gettign really hot. it should get so hot that you can warm your hands no problem

that doesn't sound right to me, as i believe it, only the valves should warm up, not the rest of the amp

yeah? since the faceplate is metal it would attract the heat coming off the valves!
