I just got the evga 7900 gs. In most games it works great but when I try to play F.E.A.R it keeps loading in the middle of the game (not only at checkpoints). I currently have 1 gig of ram. Would adding ram fix the problem? Should I get a faster hard drive? Thanks.

I only have a nvidia 6600 and 512 of ram, and I played through FEAR without any problems at all (albeit only on medium-high graphic settings).

That looks more like a software issue to me

I updated the video drivers and it didnt help anything. How would i fix it if its a software problem?

Works fine... check your other settings.

Yeah, same exact stuff as mine, except my processor is a Pentium, not Athon.

I played F.E.A.R. with some shitty ATI radeon card, pretty powerful PC though. Never had any problems. Maybe it really really needs a defrag

What other settings...? I guess my questions is, why is it loading stuff off the hard drive (i can see the light go on) at random times if i have more then enough ram?
