I've been looking everywhere for a massive, complete and correct music theory book, unfortunately the closest I can get where I live is the Bass Grimoire, which is more a scale reference than anything. Can anyone give me some good books to check out or order?

The Complete Idiot's Guide to Music Theory is a good start.

Sounds to me like an excuse.
