I used the Edwards E-RV-138 into a Peavey XXX head/cab. Then I used my POD XT and had a patch that used no amp, just some delay and such. put that through the effects loop.

The improv sounds very mechanical and bland and the tone isn't all that great, but I spose EMGs don't help your cause. Keep at it, work on your phrasing.
