the guitar sound in my track is to bassy, i need to know how to cut out this while steel keeping the sound thick and "metal" sounding, when i cut it the sound thins out and doesnt have the same effect, any tips??

try bumping up the mids a little and cutting the bass very slightly. Also double track the guitars and pan one halfway to the left and the other halfway to the right. Make sure there are slight differences in the EQ on each one when you do this.
