What?
According to BS statistics, 92% of teens have moved on to rap. If you're among the 8% who doesn't consider rap to be real music, donate your brains, as you clearly aren't using them.

Noob.

He's obviously made a poll that hasn't appeared yet.

EDIT: Ah, it appeared. I'll say Dimebag as that was biggest loss in music, for me. The loss of Jason Becker was horrible too, but he's not dead yet.

Jimi, because of the horrible way he died: lying in bed next to a woman who obviously didn't love him, far from his family (no matter how dysfunctional), his career & live shows on a steady decline. And he was just trying to get some sleep.

Nearly everyone I know, the only band they all like is Queen. And those are people that have no good taste in music, so the world is not too terrible a place.

To answer the thread, Rory Gallagher is quite a loss. As are many others.

So maybe there IS hope...

Robbie Williams should hook up with Queen. That would be an awesome band.

Out of the list, Freddie. Though if other Cliff Burton.

I hate getting into a band or movie, and then realising one of them is dead. It happened with Monty Python for me, I seriously had no idea Graham Chapman was dead until I read it on Wikipedia. I all sad when I found out.

Joe Strummer > Kurt

So yeah, for me, probably either Joe, or one of the 3 dead Ramones. Or possibly Rob Tyner. But most likely Joe Strummer.

Cant believe Stevie Ray Vaughan isnt on that list. I'm gonna say him because nobody else has brought an entire genre of music back to the forefront like SRV did with blues. Although I loved Dime and everything he did, I gotta say I miss SRV more.

I voted for Jeff Buckley, but Elliott Smith was another sad one as well. I'd say that I'm pissed off that Kurt Cobain died but only because in death he's (though the damage has been done by his fans) caused more destruction to good music than when he was alive.

I can't say that Kurt was the worst ever, but you're right about him having more of an effect after his death. More stupid-ass kids listen to dead artists/bands cause they think its cool instead of a good reason. They can buy the Zep, Jimi, and Kurt t-shirts at Walmart and be cool because Kurt is dead and so he must have been the best guitarist ever.
I'm not saying its dumb to listen to any of those bands, just that kids do it for the wrong reason.
