Ok so i was looking through the "stupest thing to put on a guitar" thread and i say a guy saying someone should put 3 octaves of a keyboard on a guitar.

And since i'm re-doing a guitar at the mo, does anyone have any idea how i might go about this?? I can get a cheap 3 octave keyboard of my mate for nothing but i wanna incorperate it into the guitar, rather than just tapeing it on. maybe like taking all the sides of the thing and making a cavity in the guitar??

Thanks, joe

you should be able to route a place in your guitar, bu you might want to make some modifications to the body of the keyboard. as for thw wiring, i have no clue

How deep is it? Either way its gonna kill some of your guitar tone

ive seen a guitar that looked somthing like this but i think instead of a keyboard it was a handle. you could just bolt it on like that. it would be pretty sweet.

i ve got the wiring pretty mutch
just take out the speaker and wire the output jack to a dpdt switch to switch between that and the the guitar.
it's gonna be difficult though...

The hardest thing would be routing a cavity for the keyboard...
take the keyboard out of it's enclosure. It's guts should be a lot smaller. Especially if it's a little semi-toy keyboard.

Thats what i was thinking, but then again, i have to make a new enclosure for it!
this is gonna be one huge project for me...

well instead of making a new envlosure, just rout a space out of the back and put the keyboard in there maybe?

Pian-tar has no ring to it......
gui-board. (pronounced gee-bored)

I'll have a look at the keyboard and measure it up and stuff. What should i do about the buttons on the keyboard, the rythm butons and stuff...

I've seen one where you have one of those plastic mats that the keys are painted on, and has sensors in between the layers of plastic. It's like a portable keyboard, pretty common. Anyways, he took that, put it in his pickguard and added it to his signal. Now he can tune with it. an actual keyboard may be hard to do.

Man, a regular guitar with a big ass body (Explorer or something like that.) with a MicroKorg would rock.
