So how is this guitar? Im 16 and i really shouldnt have a $1,500 guitar but some guy wants to trade me for my paintball stuff which is probably worth about 1k so either way its a really good deal. Does it play/sound like a MIA strat or is there something more special about it?

You gotta try it. Becuase its got a hard V neck to it. I really love that kidna neck, but alotta people hate it. Its an incredably nice guitar though.

Either way, the point is you need to try it out before you buy it, because that neck profile is not for everyone.
It's true, this stuff I make up.

Is it? I've always thought it was a hard V. I've only played it a few times, But I love the nevk. IMHO if ya dig the neck then its worth the extra cash.

Ah, cool. But lets not spam this bros thread.

To threadstarter: Try the guitar, if ya dig the neck then get the guitar. If not do what ECisthebest said to do.

Well im technachly not paying anything for it and it seems like a pretty good deal to me. I will try it but im just asking for some input. What does the neck feel like? Is it smooth and fast once you get used to it but does it slow you down? I woud be playing mostly bluesy stuff and of course the occasional RHCP song.

You gotta play it. What's smooth and fast for me (Big necks, like the SRV Sig and the soft V) my be very slow for you.

If you are playing bluesy stuff then it will suit you perfectly. I almost bought it myself, but picked an American Strat instead, I don't know why. It arrived at the store before I could change it to the Eric Clapton. I would rather have the EC over my MIA, but I was too late. So definately get it, especially if you're just trading your paintball stuff.

If you dont want to paintball anymore go for it, if you hate the guitar sell it for more than 1k and there you've made a profit and can buy a guitar you want. Dunno where everyone is getting the idea that your going to pay for it.

BTW, which Clapton sig is it? Does it have Lace Sensors or Noiseless pickups?
