i'm pretty new to this whole modding thing and i was wondering how would i remove the top nut on my p bass. it looks pretty set in there and there's no small gap to get a tool into to lever it out.

any suggestions?

For the nuts that are inlayed into the neck the most commen way to get them out is to saw them out. Heat is used sometimes, but it's not as easy. When the nut is not inlayed, then you can just tap it lightly with a screwdriver and hammer and it will come right off.
Not taking any online orders.

...and by "tap", he means you should put the screvdriver's head on the side of the nut, and gently tap the screwdriver with the hammer, and it should start to come off.
