Hello, I'm relatively new to guitar playing (I just started a few weeks ago). I had a question dealing with pick-ups in an electric guitar.

When I end up getting my second guitar to replace the starter's kit one that I have, I was planning on replacing the pick-ups to get more of a sound that I wanted. The pick-up I planned on getting was the EMG 81 to place in the bridge position (I eventually also wanted to get the EMG 85 for the neck). But I was wondering if having the one EMG in with the stock pick-up would hamper the sound quality at all?

(Also, just to make sure, the EMG pick-up would fit in an Epiphone SG, correct?)

Thanks a lot for your time and responses.
