Have you ever found an album and you just didn't get it, but eventually came back to it and realized it was genius?

I found a few like that over my life journey.

Anything ever recorded by John Zorn (except his klezmer, that clicked in an instant )

What a thing to figure out! I could never have figured out that the CD had 13 silent tracks by pressing play on my stereo. Pure genius!

I think that album for me was Toxicity - System of a Down. I was first burnt the CD when i was in year 8/9 and i just couldn't get into it. I was into pop music and all the new scene stuff and i just didn't understand the genre. When i went back to it half a year later after i had merged myself into metal i loved it and couldn't work out how the CD hadn't turned me to metal earlier.

Now that I think about it. Wisconsin Death Trip by Static-X was a damn good album.

I liked it at first, but it wasn't until later that I realized how great it was.

At first I just didn't get anything out of any of their albums. Then about a year later they nailed me.

The First time I listened to A Perfect Circles Mer de Noms,,, besides The Hollow, Judith, and 3 Libras i didn't think much of it,,,,I remember I bought it at the same time as Stereomud's Perfect Self,, and I originally liked SM's cd more,,,,,then some time went by and I realized how beautiful of an album Mer de Noms is,,,,,,today its one of the few albums I have that I know all the words to and can sing it all the way through,,,,,

Morbid Angel's Covenant. I bought it a long time ago, but only realised a few weeks ago the full extent of it's awesomeness.
