Oh how fast things can change
In the time of 1 sunset
The tide as gone out
As far as my eyes will allow me to see

We shared the shore
Just after sunrise
There was nothing as beautiful
As before daybreak
I will try to hold this
But it’s already starting to fade

But just at my eyes end
Her boat sits
Can she sleep with the shaking?
Or as the day swept her in to sheets
With the strain of the day to rest away

But as for me I shall stay and wait
That’s all I can do
There is only so much land to dock
One day they will have to return
