So i am trying to decide on which amp set up to get. And i have narrowed it down to:

Orange Tiny Terror or Rocker 30 head with a Orange Cab.

OR

Marshall JCM 800 Combo?

Anyone have any other suggestions or comments that can help me out?

What sounds are you looking for?
And try them all out and see what you think.

I've played the Tiny Terror. Great amp, lovely thick sound. Very rock n roll.

^+1 What kind of sound are you looking for?

I played an Orange Rocker 30 and it was one of the nicest amps I've played. The JCM800 combo is gonna be cheaper, though.

Try them all out then, they're all good for that sort of stuff, but maybe the JCM800 even more so (but you'll really have to have it loud for it to sound great)

I have a 2 channel JCM800. It has diode clipping so it sounds surprisingly good at very low volumes (compared to the 4104 I had). For GNR and especially Zepplin, your not gonna find a better match for the price.

I'm selling a 4212 (2205 head combo) JCM800. PM if your interested.

Also, if you have a big budget, the Stiletto Ace is amazing. Sounds like a hotrodded JCM800 but with very good cleans also. Best EL34 amp I've played.

The jcm800 will better suite you for Slash's lead tones, but I think that's about it? What else do you want? You only want to sound like GnR?

Im really looking to nail slash's tone. Ive been very succesfull with finding Zeppelin and Aerosmith tone through pedals. And the one thing i cant hit is Slash's tone. So thats what im looking for.

^and i see you are kinda in the same boat as me.

Haha, guilty. I just can't seem to find a 800 anywhere here. But yeah, as I heard, the orange amps are much darker so maybe a pedal can help you nail it somewhere in the bunch. But for the 800, you're going to have to crank it to atleast be near his tone (if you're getting single channel)

Well a Rocker 30 can nail Slash tone! But the JCM800 would be the best choice. Check out the new Peavey WIndsor to!

/passes out in joy.

Eh, I suggest you try it out threadstarter. If you're on a budget, a nice vintage jcm 800 would be perfect for you. But if you're willing to spend the extra bucks, it would be suggested to check out the orange also.

edit: By the way, I've heard that the orange rocker 30 can nail alot of classic rock tones too. I've hear the guy on youtube explain the rocker 30 in depth and MAN it sound really , really, really nice!
