which one should I go for, I play indie and the vox has better clean sound but is it loud enought to gig as I read the cube was.

The Vox'll be better for indie. They'll be around the same volume. Go with the Vox.

it takes 10 times the wattage to get double the volume, so there gonna be realistically the same volume, so go for the vox

^yep, i agree, the vox is more suited to your music style and the difference in wattage isn't an issue imo
