Im just a little curious about why I sometimes see the word "noob" on UG. I've always considered that a geeky/gamer word, (just and opinion) and now i see it all over the place in forums.

Am i the only one who thinks that "Noob" is more of a video game word and not a forum word?

Oh and also, ive noticed that people use "Pwned" and "Owned" a lot. I sorta think those fall into the same category. But this is just my opinion. Anyone else agree?

It was only explicitly a gaming term like 5-8 years ago, kid.

I pretty much agree. But I know a lot of people that use the word "owned" or "pwned" a lot in real life, though.
