So today i went to try out a randall rg50tc and it sounded like total shit. Dont get me wrong it was good for heavy stuff and all that but sweeps and all that stuff sounded horrible. I tryed using a compressor pedal and a noise gate but it still sounded bad. The sound im looking for is more compressed and clear...kinda like a line 6 (i dont want another line 6 though) I then tryed a mesa boogie and all my sweeps and stuff sounded amazing but I obviously cant afford one.

Finally I played a USED Marshall Dsl 401 for $705 and it seemed a little better. Sweeps sounded ok and the sound was alot clearer than the Randall. So basicly my question is would this be a good amp for shred and that type of shit?

And can anybody suggest another amp that would probobly be to my liking.

Im looking for a COMBO (dont say a Peavey XXX) preferably 50 watts and my budget is $700 Canadian

THANKS

^ well i got my amp off of there plus countless other items. Its always worked fine for me just make sure to check postage price. add that on ask about it first. make sure its through pay pal and make sure the user has sold before and had good feedback a good few times. and you should be fine.
