One of the most renound amps ever made; Excellent! And you are looking at around $1000 used.

An excellent amp. It's not 1000 USD used, it's 1000 USD new.

Preferablly, I would choose the vox ac30 over the dsl 401. It all depends on what you're going to play. Modern metal and alot of modern day rock and a bit of cleans here and there, go dsl 401. Most likely everything else, get the vox ac30.

Classic rock and blues eh?

Vox AC30 is right up your alley then. I was looking at them but chose my Orange Rocker 30 in the end, you should look at them too.

I'm starting to see alot of people owning orange rockers nowadays! Kurapica, I highly suggest looking into orange rocker's also!

But it is quite expensive. But between the ac30 and the dsl 401....ac30 hands down.

AC30 is better to my ears, but they're very different sounding amps.
And try out an Orange Rocker too.

Isn't Orange Rocker much more expensive than the Vox AC30?

BTW: There's a big difference between 1X12, 2X12.... don't know the price of it (1X12 of course less expensive)

Dude, I would die to get an AC30.

But I don't have the money, so instead I got and AD15VT which is awesome. Still would rather the AC30 though.

I got my AC30 3 weeks ago. It sounds really nice. For classic rock and blues I'd go with the AC30 no doubt. Try the Orange though.

The ad15vt is VERY NICE but i find that if you want a decent distortion sound or if your playing clean on the low E and A to use an EQ pedal to tighten up the bottom end because these amps bottom ends are very muddy.
