my friend is looking to buy a guitar/amp set up on a budget of $450... So im guessing about $250 to max on amp.... Are there any decent ones he can get? I was looking at these... but dont knwo if there any good the
behringer LX210 and LX122
I was hoping he could get something greater than 40w....

Dude, go to some local music shops and look at their used gear. A friend of mine for a 120 watt crate amp for 200. Look at used gear, you'll get a better deal.
Just let the good times roll.

Get a Roland cube. they are awesome for learning guitar because they are small in size and have a lot you can do with them. They are pretty loud too.

You can look for used gear, but whatever you do, don't get a Crate GX120.

A Roland Cube 30x or 60x will be good for you if you're into the hard rock/metal sounds.
Vox Valvetronix for everything else. The Tech 21 TM30 isn't too shabby as well. Look into those models.
