If you reckon you could play or can play fretless, it's a good thing to do.

But for the real test make sure it has no lines where the frets are meant to be.

Is there any black people on UG?
I don't think a lot of black people play guitar anymore.

i played a fretless in the shop about 1.5 months ago without fret lines and it was no problem. i play alot in the dark or don't look when i'm playing most of the time so it's pretty instinctive where to put my fingers

The rig. You already have a very good bass, so you should get a better amp than what you have right now.

go with the amp, because you've got a bass that works. Worry about branching out once you have some good equipment to branch out with.

Same as everyone else, get the rig.
The will to neither strive nor cry,
The power to feel with others give.
Calm, calm me more; nor let me die
Before I have begun to live.

You have one high end bass, one intermediate bass. ANd a relatively mediocre amp, get the gk rig.

A fretless Stingray? Thats so...sacraligious.
When you were born, you cried, and the world rejoiced. Live your life in such a manner that when you die, the world cries and you rejoice.
