Ya i need a new amp too my Fender 75 is gettin a little old. its like 30 years old. i was lookin at two amps: a line 6 40 watt and a Roland microcube. i will still keep my fender though. i like the line 6's distorion and the rolands many effects. what do i buy?

Roland. Line 6s (Assuming it is a Spider model) tend to break up at high volumes.

what kind of fender do you have? also don't get a spider. Just read the forums and you'll know. If you must get solid state go Roland.

but if your fender is 30 years old, isn't it probably tube?

I own a microcube.. When jammin with my brother, he plays drums.. the drums drowned it out pretty bad, so i hooked it up to a big clean peavey for the effects and works fine, now i use a multi-pedal but it still works for high pitch gain..
