Well its in the key of e and then you have the 4,5, and 6 chords... and i dont think that f would fit scale wise.. but then again if it sounds good than its aight..

It's not in the key of E, if it were the G5 would b a G#5. Those are just powerchords in C major or A minor.

It's in E phyrgian.

To the guy above me, no it isn't C major... It has the same notes, but a C chord isn't even used and it's starting on E. If you're starting and ending on E, it's 99% likely to be E phyrgian.
