What does this mean?

Chinese music is pentatonic-diatonic, having a scale of twelve notes to an octave (5+7 = 12) as does European-influenced music.
i dont know a lot about it but the pentatonic-diatonic intervals are found in just about all western music as well as chinese. This is the regualr scales we are used to hearing as opposed to indian scales which have different numbers to an octave and different major scales. Sorry i dont know more but thats all i could remember.
