Well as you can tell from the title Valentines day is coming up and yeah you can guess who this song is for, anyways i wanna try and make this half decent so any criticism would be greatly appreciated.
I sorta have a progression figured out so if anybody wants to try it out there is a capo on the fourth fret and chords are relative to that.

Intro (Cmaj,Am,Fmaj,Gmaj)

Well everybody has been in love before
But nobody has ever felt like this before

Verse(Cmaj,Am,Fmaj,Gmaj Faster tempo)

Today is Valentines and heres my valentine to you.
A mix of clumsy words directed to you.
Nothings felt so pure, nothings felt so right
when I hold you near, in my arms tonight

Oh baby, baby, after all weve been through
its crazy, crazy, I love you
as long as your in sight, i am not alone
you give me life, and guide me though the unknown.

Anyways thats it so far, gotta go eat and try and get out a chorus

And as always crit 4 crit....

I'll confess, i've not tried playing this with a guitar, and if I heard it played it would be in a totally different light, however you could say that for all songs, so i'm going on what's written.

Well everybody has been in love before
But nobody has ever felt like this before

Don't like it, rhyming the same word, with a very cliched sort of line.

Today is Valentines and heres my valentine to you.
A mix of clumsy words directed to you.
Nothings felt so pure, nothings felt so right
when I hold you near, in my arms tonight

I like the first line, I can imagine that being quite a catch hook when sung. I'm still not keen on the use of the same word at the end of different sentences but I like what you're trying to say.

Oh baby, baby, after all weve been through
its crazy, crazy, I love you
as long as your in sight, i am not alone
you give me life, and guide me though the unknown.

The 'babys' and the 'crazys' are not to my taste, but I understand if you've written the song it can be difficult to convey the flow of it being played, but it still seems a little forced.
The last two lines are very cheesy and very good. Perfect for ending a Valentine's Day song.

I'm not keen on parts of it, but I do like a few lines that stand out, 3/5.
