Hey has anyone ever heard about putting acoustic strings on an electric guitar? Would it work, would it do anything harmful to the guitar. Ive never tried it, and was wondering if someone has.

Are you talking about steel strings? If so, most steel strings can be used on both acoustic and electric, you might ruin your intonation and neck relief if you use too heavy a gauge, though. If you mean nylon strings, that won't work.

Unwound acoustic strings will, i've tried it before, but beware, as most acoustic strings are a very heavy gauge.
