I tried to play standing up for the first time for 25 mins approx and when I put the guitar down I felt this weird twitch in my fretting hand more than a couple of times. Is this a sign of playing the guitar too low or what do you think?

Yhe when i forst started playing standing up i relaised i ahd the guitar too low. So just bring the strap up a bit and play liek that, eventually (if you want to) you will be able 2 play the guitar lower down.

Hmm, you shouldn't need it higher than that. As long as it's waist height or higher you shouldn't be getting pains.

I think you're playing technique is a bit wrong, plus if you're just a beginner, although it may look better, having your guitar slung low makes it a lot harder to play

It does take some getting used to if you normally play sitting down.
I can access the upper frets a lot better when sat down, especially on the bass strings.
