What is trilling and how is it perfromed?
It's just hammering on and off two notes really fast.
so if its a trill on the 9th fret I keep hammmering on and pulling off quickly on the 9th fret only?
Yes, but normally a trill is like, a semitone apart. Like holding the 2nd fret then repeatedly hammering the 3rd.
great, just one more thing, do you jus hammer on or do you also pull off?
Exactly what I was thinking
Four fret trills with your little finger are cool - they hurt like hell but you sound like Cannibal Corpse.
yep i totally agree
yes breakstuff, it's just a series of hammer ons and pull offs played continuously in succession.
If it says "trill 9th fret", do you use fret 8 and 9 or 9 and 10? I mean is it 8h9p8h9p8 or 9h10p9h10p9?
you just hammer on and pull off on the 9th fret continuously.
Watch some videos of Jeff Beck or Stevie Ray Vaughn for good examples on them, the trill is primaraly used in blues type of playing.
