Hello,

i am re-painting a guitar. I have bought a can of clear varnish and a can of the actual colour.

How many layers is needed of each?

Im such a noob!

thanks

P.S i searched for this information but i couldn't find it.
Yeah, now you're gonna die wearing that stupid little hat. How does it feel?

Help me to live.

I make custom guitar wiring harnesses and I'm pretty damn good at it!

about 3-5 coats of primer, 3-5 coats of color, 15-20 coats of clear.

Trade in that varnish for lacquer. Clear lacquer is what you need to use.

Sorry, but is varnish like a type of paint? or is it a stly of paint. Anyways, if its a type of paint im not sure how many you will need, I guess enough so that you feel like your guitar is protected. Sorry thats all I can tell you
