I would like to know which particular modes sound "happy" or "major" when played in certain positions. For example, most of the time mixolydian will sound happier than a melodic minor scale. I know some of you will say, it's all in how you play it, but I would like to know which scales sound happier without trying to make it sound happy. I know some of them are out there. Any help's appreciated, thanks.

If there's a jam out there, I'm probably listening to it.

Ionian
Lydian (sort of)
Someones knowledge of guitar companies spelling determines what amps you can own. Really smart people can own things like Framus because they sound like they might be spelled with a "y" but they aren't.

any major scale.
They don't all sound happy. Phrygian Dominant is not a happy sound.

The three main major modes, Ionian, Lydian, and Mixolydian, should work well.

Basically, you want to look out for a natural third, which generally defines a major scale, whilst a flatted third defines a minor.
